“BeLIEve” premiers at Luxor Hotel and Casino in Vegas
Many people might assume that a spectacular mix of Criss Angel and Cirque du Soleil could possibly be a match made in heaven, or in Criss Angel’s case, hell.
If you happen to be any one of the many followers who have attended this new LV event, titled Criss Angel BeLIEve presented at the Luxor Hotel Casino, then you may have a unique notion about this latest show. This latest Las Vegas presentation is actually Cirque du Soleil’s sixth presentation to exhibit on the Las Vegas Strip.
It starts out rather alike Angel’s standard illusion productions, with a taste of “Cirque”. Then all of a sudden an unsuccessful magic trick takes Angel to a Wizard of Oz-like dreamworld. You can even see bizarre rabbits hurrying on all sides of the stage, combined with Criss Angel’s standard feats and illusions mixed with Cirque’s spectacular allure. It peaks with Angel essentially splitting himself in half, probably the high point of this presentation.
One of the concerns, that many enthusiasts have come across with the idea, is the point that the magician has several spoken parts in the performance. Criss Angel’s drama abilities aren’t truly his strong suit, and this is not usual in any of Cirque’s other well-liked Vegas events.
The good outweighs the bad, though, in this blend of Criss and Cirque. There are lots of fabulous feats presented in the presentation, and united with Cirque du Soleil’s flair, the show does have its memorable and wonderful moments. The ticket sales do not lie, as this presentation is looking to be one of biggest presentations that Cirque has had in LV.
Cirque du Soleil which was founded in Montreal, Canada includes this latest proposal to their bill of LV performances. Their other shows consist of: “O” in the Bellagio Hotel and Casino Vegas, Zumanity in the Zumanity Theater in the New York-New York casino, LOVE in The Mirage Casino, Ka at the Ka Theater at the MGM Grand Hotel Casino, and Mystere at the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino.
