Even if you are on a tight budget, Las Vegas can be a cheap vacation if you take your time and do some research. It is definitely important to have a clear picture of what you want to see, how long you will stay in Vegas, and where you want to stay. As long as you have a clear idea of these topics, then your trip to Las Vegas, Nevada will undoubtedly be one to remember always.

As far as flights are concerned, this may be the most difficult part to find the cheapest flight. Many airlines have been cutting down their flights recently, due in part to the financial and fuel condition in the country. You might consider comparing travel packages from several different companies; one example of these types of packages could be hotel + flight + car rental for a specific price. You may find in some cases that it is more economical to purchase these separately. The cost difference you might find could be considerable.

One idea that you may find helpful is to register for e-mail notifications from the Las Vegas, Nevada hotels and airlines you are interested in. They will forward you an e-mail when their best deals are available somewhere around two months before your trip. Also make sure that if you have already booked a Sin City hotel room, keep checking the prices that they are publishing up till the day of your trip. The prices may change so if you see a price cheaper than the one you booked for, go ahead and talk to the hotel about changing the cost of your room.

Try to remember that the amount of visitors in Las Vegas is down at the moment, Sin City hotels and casinos are looking to attract clients. Right now could be an excellent time to get online and book a flight and hotel to Las Vegas.

Along with the enormous success of the Tao nightclub at the Venetian Resort Casino, the owners of this Sin City nightclub are unveiling a brand new Roman/Mediterranean type restaurant called Lavo located in the Palazzo hotel resort. This radical idea is inspired by the Roman bathhouses of long-ago. A lot of effort has been put into the historical accuracy of this Vegas nightclub/restaurant and into the tiny details as well.

This restaurant/nightclub can seat 300 people and includes a menu chock full of Mediterranean food. Their menu is designed to encourage the sharing of appetizers and small servings, as opposed to large one-person plates. The restaurant segment also has an outdoor terrace which can seat 100 guests and overlooks the renowned Las Vegas Strip.

The nightclub section features a state of the art audio and video system while live DJs will be on hand to keep the crowd entertained. The nightclub is open six nights a week opening its doors at 10:00 pm and closing about 5 am. What the club lacks is a VIP area, to this the creators say is to have a more communal atmosphere.

Lavo always has lots of eye candy for the visitors (especially the male guests). There is a model continuously bathing herself in the restaurant, female dancers, and other models acting out different historical scenarios. On the balcony, you will find a reserve of hookahs with a “hookah master” helping you make the best decision.

This restaurant/nightclub is led by the same group that inaugurated Tao Las Vegas in the Venetian Casino Hotel in 2005. Ever since the launch of this nightclub it has been one of the hottest clubs in Vegas, visited mostly by celebrities. Along with the Tao Asian Bistro and Tao Beach, these have been the highest grossing destinations in the U.S. since 2006. This new restaurant nightclub will be an incredible addition for The Palazzo Las Vegas. It already has 3000 luxury suites, the best shopping stores, and Sin City’s finest restaurants and entertainment.

Vegas Slot Players are trying to save money

vegas
Despite the fact that all the popular Sin City hotel casinos are working hard to attract more Las Vegas tourists this year with rebates and vouchers, their slot machine business is dropping. And seeing that Vegas slot machine business makes up about two thirds of the state’s earnings, it’s not such great news for the casinos.

According to the Gaming Control Board, Las Vegas gamblers are betting $1.1 billion less in slot machines than last year. Slot machines on The Strip are down half a billion dollars. This corresponds to a drop of 12% compared to 2007. With drivers paying more than $4 per gallon for gas, gamblers are really having to budget their spending nowadays. Although with the price of gasoline on the decline, these figures might change in the next few months.

Las Vegas casino hotels aren’t really concerned about this slump in slot machine proceeds, the latest figures show that table game play is actually going up. On The Strip the volume for Las Vegas table games is up 5 percent, with baccarat play up 15 percent and blackjack on the rise at 7 percent. This might seem like good news but, the truth is that Vegas hotel casinos won 21 percent less in July because of some lucky bettors as well as bettors taking home a larger percentage than typical.

The popular saying, “The house always wins”, may have been true in the past. But as these reports have shown us, casinos are having a harder time making a profit than before. This could be a great time for bettors to start cashing in their Las Vegas vouchers, taking advantage of discounts, and using their frequent flyer miles. With the Las Vegas, Nevada hotel casinos having a run of bad luck, this could be the best moment for you to visit some of Vegas’ most popular casinos.
